Using a 1825/1827 with SureCAL

Post by csperrazza »

Understanding how a 1825 or 1827 works is an important step in understanding how SureCAL works with them. Typically a bridge like a 1806A is used with a thermistor mount like a F1130A. With the 1825, we simply combined the two into an economical solution.

That being noted SureCAL treats the 1825 solution just like an 1806A and a F1109A.

In SureCAL:
  • Select modify test profile
    Select STD Sensor Tab
    Select TEGAM/Weinschel F1109 Thermistor Mount w/ Splitter
    Select STD Monitor Tab
    Select Bridge Type Power Meter
    Make sure 1806 is selected
Treat the 1827 solution just like an 1806A and a F1130A.

In SureCAL:
  • Select modify test profile
    Select STD Sensor Tab
    Select TEGAM/Weinschel F1130 Thermistor Mount w/ Splitter
    Select STD Monitor Tab
    Select Bridge Type Power Meter
    Make sure 1806 is selected
In Addition for the 1827 the user will have to modify the Source/Amp tab if two sources are to be used. The diagrams in SureCAL will show a setup for an 1806 rather then a 1825/27. This is because it is treated exactly the same and operates exactly the same.

For Further instructions or support contact Tegam directly and ask for Charlie Sperrazza. I will be glad to walk you through.
